Accompanied by Mr.An Youcai, Chairman and General Manager of the company, a delegation led by Director Zhang Huadong from the Chongqing Center for Disease Control and Prevention visited the corporate exhibition hall and the core product industrialization base. Through on-site observation and detailed explanations, the visiting experts gained a clear understanding of Ab&B Bio's latest advancements in innovative vaccine R&D, technical platform development, and industrialization. The company's professional talent pool, spearheaded by doctoral-level researchers from both domestic and international backgrounds, as well as its demonstrated R&D agility and large-scale production capacity, left a profound impression on the visiting experts.
As a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the research, development, manufacturing, and commercialization of innovative vaccines and novel vaccine technologies, Ab&B Bio currently has 13 product pipelines, with 2 products successfully launched on the market; it has obtained 10 new drug clinical trial approvals (7 of which are Class I new drug clinical trial approvals), secured 3 dual filing and dual approval approvals from both China and the United States, and is advancing multiple projects toward clinical trials and New Drug Application (NDA) submissions.
Conduct in-depth discussions to jointly explore new ideas
Following the visit, both parties held a thematic symposium. During the symposium, experts from the Chongqing Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) introduced the center's high-quality development progress over recent years, highlighting its achievements in enhancing research capabilities and building a professional talent pool that have earned national recognition. In particular, the center has taken a leading position nationwide in digital transformation, providing a solid data foundation for disease surveillance, early warning, and the formulation of prevention and control strategies.
The Ab&B Bio team provided a detailed elaboration on the company's pipeline of investigational products and its potential collaboration opportunities, while also proposing several substantive recommendations for future collaborations across various dimensions, including basic research, clinical evaluation, data sharing, and technology transfer.
Extending from specific points to broader contexts, moving toward systematization
Previously, Ab&B Bio had established a strong collaborative partnership with the Chongqing Center for Disease Control and Prevention within the framework of a joint research project on the safety and immunogenicity of Quadrivalent Subunit Influenza Vaccine administration to pregnant women, conducted jointly at the First Affiliated Hospital of Chongqing Medical University and the Chongqing Yuzhong District Center for Disease Control and Prevention. In March 2026, both parties officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Chongqing to establish a long-term collaboration mechanism.
This follow-up visit to Ab&B Bio marks another significant step in deepening the strategic cooperation between the two parties.
